The 'if I was a millionaire' post. - Some nice baby design stuff

If I was made of money I would buy the following items.
Seeing as I am not (and I'm not too sure about spending so much money just for 9 or so months use), it's just a bit of fun. I love good design - it gets my bank account into trouble but throwing children into the mix makes for really interesting, as well as highly lucrative products.

The Okoa rocker:
The Hushomok 'Okoa' stand with hammock. $575. A bit lavish but also a bit lovely!

Frame Wallpaper:
Graham and Brown frame wallpaper. £17.99 a roll from wallpaperdirect. Perfect for making accidental doodles seem non accidental!

The Bloom baby bouncer.

Sleek all in one design baby bouncer by Bloom 'coco'. It comes in plexistyle plastic for £195 or in Plywood for £130

The handwoven cradle:

This handwoven crib was made from a tree taken from the artists back yard. Would make a lovely family heirloom. Its going on Etsy for quite modest $599.

The Sleepytime Rocker Nursing Chair:

Lovely nursing chair by NurseryWorks. Rocking chair to help bring baba to rest, whilst having a soft back pillow offering support for Mother's needs too. Retails at $1,249.95.

The Eames hang-it-all:
Another classic from the 60's Herman Miller range. Would look great in the yet-to-be nursery to hang all of those colourful bits and bobs on. £165 just seems a little OTT when there is a little nipper on the way!

Nathi by ByBoDesign:

ByBoDesign's wall mounted baby changer/nursing station entitled "Nathi". Made from moulded beech veneer. Can also come in white and mahogany. But I think this one is the most spiffing out of the lot. Out of all the items on this list I think I may save up for this one, seeing as I don't like most if not any of the baby changing units on the market. They usually take up a lot of space and look rather dull. Coming in flat pack pine or mdf coated white they also dont offer a lot of storage for the amount of room they take up.
There are a few exceptions to the rule but not many for under £400!
This item can be purchased from The Jellybean Group when buying in the UK for €383.

Baby's first book:

Rag and bone publishing
presents an array of handmade books for collecting memories and the like but this one is especially for baby and logging all its important bits. $68

The Nifty clear cot from Ubabub:
The Nifty clear cot design allow you to see baby quite easily as well as baby seeing you.
Without pointing out the obvious in its beauty this cot also doubles up as a toddler bed.
This, sadly for me, retails at AU $1,5999, translating to only about £900 then... Oh, no wait...

The Nuna highchair:

I love this plastic fantastic design. Baby clothes, furniture, etc usually reply on icongraphy of whimsy bears and beige illstrations, where I don't see that as family life at all. I expect it to be bright and vibrant, there is nothing 'beige' about my family whatsoever. These chairs are an example of good children design as they have grasped that in this product.
The Nuna chair is built to grow with your child; it has a sliding plastic mechnasism to support baby untill the age of 12! So with this in mind and depending on what your budget is maybe £190 isn't too shabby?

The Chocolatta cot:

This 'Chocolatta' cot by EcoAyris on Etsy.com comes in a variety of colours and is made from sustainable woods. Ain't too bad on the eye neither! $777.

The Boon Grass drying rack.

Stylish countertop drying rack, won't look out of place in the nursery, has bits and bobs to match. £20.

Donna Wilson blankets:

Lovely handmade blankets created by the lovely Donna Wilson. House £245. Blah-blah blanket £169.
